Position:                      Human Resources Director

 

Reports to:                  Vice President, Projects and Vice President, Human Resources

 

Role Overview:           Reporting directly to the Vice President, Projects (ultimately the General Manager when in operation) based in Turkey and the Vice President, Human Resources (dotted line reporting), based in the corporate office in Canada, the Human Resources Director will provide leadership in both the Ankara regional office and the Etili, Doğu Biga site office. The Human Resources Director role will ensure the smooth implementation of and active adherence to HR policy at all levels. This role is based at site in Etili, Canakkale. 

Sorumluluklar

  • Implement the HR function in Turkey as part of the global HR strategy;
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of the performance management process including development plans, performance evaluations, and year-end review process;
  • Research, review and manage the total compensation program in Turkey ensuring compliance, equity and competitiveness;
  • Monitor local employment law developments and respond ensuring compliance;
  • Lead and implement the recruitment function which includes building a recruitment brand, identifying effective candidate sources and tools, and candidate screening;
  • Create a local orientation program under the Corporate office framework;
  • Build a corporate culture that is consistent with the Corporate office while respecting local cultural practices;
  • Manage the payroll process; and
  • Other duties as required.

 

Nitelikler

  • Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, or related area of specialization;
  • 15+ years of progressive work experience including 10 years at management level and 3 years in mining;
  • Strength in strategy development in compensation, performance management, recruitment, and employee engagement;
  • Advanced understanding of employment law and regulations; 
  • Ability to develop key internal and external relationships; 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; 
  • Team player with a strong inclination to develop co-operative solutions; 
  • Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 20 - 50%); 
  • Fluency in English is essential – spoken and written.
